Sunny Rose's spring/ summer 2012 collection was inspired by the eye of a bird. She presented this collection during the MTN Lagos Fashion & Design week, blowing fashion critics away with such cohesive looks and exquisite finishing. Clan is a label owned by the daughters of renowned fashion designer, Deola Sagoe. Teni, Aba and Tiwa are following the steps of their mum, whose mother was also in the fashion business.
Clan's designs are very colorful, girlie and playful, with a strong use of Sheer, Cotton and Ankara. The look book features Eku Edewor and Zainab, it's obvious the girls had so much fun at the shoot.

After launching the Jewels & Tulle collection, luxury fashion brandMina Evans is back with a Spring/Summer collection to kick start the New Year.
They called this one Terra Firma. A Latin word which means “firm or solid ground”, the collectionintricately incorporates the tie-dye technique to create a luxurious marble effectaccentuated with beads imported from the Czech Republic.
The collection is inspired by the Earth with dominant base tones of orange, beige,mustard and brown. Splashes of teal and white are added for softness through the useof raw silk and chiffon.
We have worked very hard; from intricately tie dyeing on luxury cotton to achieve our desired colour tones, to handpicking embellishments that add another dimension to our pieces. With Terra Firma, we wanted to be influenced by natural Earth and also wanted to show that we are solidly building our foundation.

It appears that the smooth talking, 6 ft tall American choreographer Jeffrey may have the hots for the velvet toned and petite Nigerian songbird, Yinka Davies. Who is ready to shop for new undergarments? Underwear model extraordinaire and one of soccer’s most fashionable men, David Beckham can now add designer to his résumé.
He has collaborated with Swedish retail giant, H&M for his first underwear line called Bodywear. The collection features briefs, boxers, vests, T-shirts, pajamas, and long johns that are inspired by pieces from his wardrobe.
“I always want to challenge myself and this was such a rewarding experience for me. I’m very happy with the end result and I hope H&M’s male customers will be as excited as I am,” said Beckham.
The collection was inspired by the creative director, Jane Ole ‘s appreciation for art, architecture, and the beauty of a woman in love.
The colour palate is mostly dominated by blacks, greys, and snake-skin. There are lots of structured tailoring with a good mix of Ready to wear pieces and couture.

Pan African designer, Mustafa Hassanali together with MAYOR of ILALA Hon. Jerry Silaa have teamed up to have a fundraising event called FASHION 4 FLOODS in Dar es salaam in aid of relief supplies to support families and communities affected by the floods recently.
Dar es Salaam recently experienced devastating floods resulting from the heaviest rainfall in 55 years, according to the Tanzania Meteorological Agency. A quick assessment by the Tanzania Red Cross estimated the total number of people affected by the floods at over 50,000 (approximately 10,000 families), and to date about 10,000 people (approximately 2,000 families) had been displaced and were being accommodated in temporary holding centers. Over 200 people have been injured, with approximately 2,500 people missing, mostly children, and 39 people have been confirmed dead.
